Gaylene Barnes

Combining creativity with sensitive story-telling and technical wizardry has meant that Gaylene has been able to help deliver award winning film and television across all genres for over twenty years. Gaylene completed a degree in Fine Arts in Computer Art in the early 1990's and has not looked back. She has worked as the lead production designer on feature films, shorts and television drama, as well as editing and directing many documentaries, children's television and several hours of lifestyle shows. She also takes a keen interest in animation projects, with her short animated film “The Mobile Meat Processing Unit” currently in release and screening worldwide.


Mary-Jo Tohill

Mary-jo Tohill has been working as a media professional for over 25 years, including TV, print and communications. She has directed or taken on post production roles in a variety of factual TV programmes covering a wide range of genres and age groups. Mojo’s recent highlights include regular work on The Erin Simpson show and Animal Academy for Whitebait TV as well as directing Kowi an episode of New Zealand stories and acting as 2nd unit director on A Shocking Reminder, both with Paua. Mojo loves performing and is also a qualified Highland and National Dancing teacher



James Ellis

James is a freelance cameraman and graduate of the NZ Broadcasting School. James shoots on a Sony XDCAM HD F800 as well as a Canon 5D using Zeiss ZE prime lenses. He specialises in shooting documentaries, lifestyle television and sports production. James’ credits span a huge variety including Coasters, Animal Academy, The Last Ocean and Kowi, many of his recent contracts have been earthquake related, including Paua's The Grand Plan and A Shocking Reminder. James lives in Lyttelton



Tony Benny

Tony has worked in the television industry for more than thirty years - in news and current affairs, travel and cooking shows and was a reporter/director for Country Calendar for a couple of decades. As well as producing and directing a range of broadcast television, he also produces shorter video for clients including ECan and DairyNZ, mostly destined for DVD and YouTube, which he shoots himself. He also writes and takes still photographs for newspapers and magazines, mostly about things rural; he's twice won the Rongo Award for excellence in Agricultural journalism.



Lynette Shingleton

As well as being a very proud, passionate and dedicated parent of three teenagers, Lynette has been editing with the same passion and dedication for 28years since leaving school. She started as an intern at TVNZ and has since contributed to a broad range of mostly primetime programming for national and international broadcasters. These include award winning documentaries, docu-drama, reality series, popular factual series, network news, corporate and high end television commercials. As a freelance editor Lynette has worked with Greenstone Pictures, Cream Media, Great Southern TV & Project Melting Pot in NZ, as well as working with leading advertising agencies, Saatchi & Saatchi, Colenso, Charles Haines, J Walter Thompson, Lintas & Olgivy’s.
